At the January 14th, 2010 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President Doc Smyk.
Members present were: Glen Akins, Bill Allen, Vicky and John Burgart, Tony Cicora, Bill Davis, John and Debbie DeRemer, Glen, Kim, Dylan and Justin East, Ed Fite, Marshall Gross, Sandy and Terry Jordan, David Martin, Mitch Maxson, Larry Maxton, Lester Michael, Monster & Annette Molyneux, Chris Newmes, Rick Reckert, Edwin Roman, Chris Rule, Billy Schoefield, Mike and Janis Sible, Doc Smyk, Vera and JJ Thomas. We also welcomes past members Richard and Sharon Green and guest Rob Cornett.
President’s Report
All were welcomed. Introductions of a possible new member and past members were made. Our new Vice President is Dave Martin. Annette Molyneux and Tera Beene are this year’s Door Prize Coordinators. Billy Schoefield will be our Safety Officer. We have a new appointed position. Mitch Maxson will be our Special Projects Coordinator.Vice President Report
Our next E-Board Meeting will be held at Bob Evan’s on Wednesday, February 10th.

The Epcot Dive Trip scheduled for Saturday, January 30th is booked. Sign up sheets were passed around for the March 20-21st dive trip. The Venice Trip in May has a wait list. There will be a monthly club trip to Boynton Beach, FL during the summer.Safety Officer
RECALL - Dive Rite Wings BC. Now is the time to look over your equipment. Get ready for the Spring. A few things to remember: Know you limits both physical and mental. Keep up with you training you never have enough. When diving think logically and don’t panic. Never desert you buddy.Training Officer
CPR Course is being held on Thursday, January 28th. A Basic Course will be taught in March. Remember to put your dives down on our board!!Web Master

Guest Speaker
JJ Thomas gave a wonderful talk on the Assessment of Risk Management and Task Loading. Thank you JJ!!
The discussion that followed reminded us that a
normal descent rate is 55 ft per minute. Also our Club Policy is that no club member will ever question you if you decide not to do a dive. We all enjoy diving, but remember it is a dangerous sport. Our club has a great track record and we would like it to stay that way. DIVE SAFE!!!
Good of the Order
All were asked if they enjoyed dinner. It was agreed that we would like to go back to the Ramada Inn in February. The only caveat is that they are requiring the club to buys 25 dinners. Doc will speak with the Ramada Inn to see if they will lower that number.
Atlantic Pro Divers has moved from the Office Depot to the 300th Block 14th Avenue North.
With no other business the meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm.
